Why Today?

2017-12-27

Within the day called today lies a treasure for making the future better.

No — rather, it appears only on the day called today.

The future cannot possibly get better on its own. If you say the future is more important than today, then think about tomorrow after a today in which you did nothing.

That tomorrow is the future you were waiting for to get better. You will see right away.

That tomorrow is the same as today.

And then, on that tomorrow, you realize it.

All right, I'll start trying hard from 〈today〉 — the very tomorrow I was waiting for.

Once it comes to that, it is already too late.

In short, those who waste today, telling themselves they'll manage tomorrow what they could have done today, will waste tomorrow just the same.

Today is more important than tomorrow.

I am not saying the future is unimportant.

The future is important. What I am saying is that today is even more important.

If you read this and still do not act, you will be no different tomorrow or next week than you are today.

There is nothing to do but act now.

You have infinite possibilities. You can do anything. You can surpass who you were yesterday.

Don't follow the herd, don't be swept along — you are you.

Every dream, mission, vision, and goal you hold now will come true. There is nothing that cannot come true.

So live today.
